The discs in these clubs may age and fail, and we offer parts to rejuvenate or customize with stripes.  This how-to covers removal and installation.

The Odyssey 2-ball is a classic and highly successful design, playing a key role in Padraig Harrington's 2007 & '08 Open wins.

2-Ball Putter How-to

Putter Disc Removal

The video to the left starts with the disc removal process.  Use heat to soften them and then a pick to pry out.  Ensure to get the black adhesive out as well as the white disc polymer.  Take your time with this process and use care not to injure yourself. Clean the disc pockets until they are bare metal.

Installation

The old 2-ball discs are a white polymer affixed with a black epoxy. Failure modes experienced include discs cracking in place, just the white disc falls out or the black polymer and disc fall out as one entity.  Therefore, the strategy of our disc design is installation in a clean, bare metal pocket, as seen in the picture to the left.  Similar to a face insert, the following is required:

1.  A good 2-part epoxy and mixing tip. Both parts can also be appied and manually mixed together on a piece of tape.  Pictured is Golfworks VB1003, quick set 2900 psi strength club epoxy. Another option is at the link below:

2.  Denatured alcohol for cleaning, link below:

3.  60 grit sanding paper, linked below:

Striped Discs Installation.

Discs with Stripes take a little bit more care during installation because of the desire for the lines to be parallel.  Below are tips to follow, to help keep them straight as they cure.
